What are you missing?

Hello friends. Post #2 in my NanPoWriMo 2020 series. I decided to just post my freewrite today. Our honorable host Nancy Lyneé Woo gave us this question:

What are you missing?

Crowds. What I’m missing is crowds. Places to get lost in. Places where nothing is expected of you; where people flow back and forth around each other like water. I don’t really sit and look at them. I like to move with them. And as I do, I feel that we are part of some larger force we move with, that moves around us.

Casual connections are the stones in the water: we flow easily over them, and move on. Or maybe we are each other’s stones, and, at the same time we are the water, being smoothed by each other’s force.

There is no judgment; there are no enemies in crowds like these. No foreigners. We all are one. We shimmer and shine together in the light of each other’s sun.
