It’s the curve of your ear,
an ancient cave connecting
the ancestry of all beings…

opacity of eyes that see past
human essence big enough to fill
mine, and also guard your own…

bubble of lower lip like
a tear brimming, moving
independently down my cheek…

love compelled by ancient essence,
swirling, unending,
your force already
possessing me.
