Hello friends, for a change, here is my first ever attempt at a blackout poem (also called erasure poem)! I did this in a Chattanooga Writers’ Guild workshop recently. I was pretty happy with the way it turned out!

Want to do your own blackout poem? Basically, the idea is to pick words that seem to go together which stand out to you on an already-written page. Since the words were very small and I only wanted a few, I re-typed this small section I wanted, enlarged the font, printed it out and then chose where to black out. I was very happy with the artistic feel of it! Enjoy!
